Laura in Jaipur

I just got back from Jaipur and Delhi on a whirlwind trip in search of gems, inspiration and sunshine and found all in abundance...

I found some lush stones and beads which we are going to rustle up into some pretty treasures for the boutique and webshop including gorgeous summery turquoises, rich red cornelians and some sweet little emerald cabachons....
but my favourite things were the divine rose cut pastel sapphires in pinks, greys and pale milky tones...yum!! Watch this space.

In Jaipur we stayed in a gorgeous Havelli which was a local nobleman's  home back in the day and is now an oasis in the chaos of the hustle and bustle of Jaipur's old city. It was a real treat to get home there in the evening and sit by the pool with a local beer listening to all the hoards of birds in the trees and watching the families of monkeys leaping about.

Our friend Pieter drove us round Delhi in his cute as a button white ambassador...we loved staying at his rooftop home with its flourishing garden and sweet little butterfly chasing cat...and the great home cooking!

Glad to be home now and to get on with things...thinking now about the next collection and my next trip somewhere hot and exciting!
