HOLD FAST

Set in the dramatic landscape of a turbulent and unforgiving sea, 

comes the inspiration for the latest Laura Lee Jewellery collection for Autumn/Winter 2013. 

This refined and concise selection of pieces celebrates Laura’s 25th year in industry,

 and so this season we dive into her own iconic signature style.

With the layering of jewels in differing metals and colours, 
‘Hold Fast’ is an amalgamation of details from both our rich and bountiful archive, 
combined with the raw and natural energy of the forever changing sea. 

 

Original antique coins, Lovetokens and diamond charms sit together 

on sparkling longer length chains. Black diamonds shimmer on yellow gold,
 whilst bold nautical signets make powerful statements in 

silver, yellow and rose gold. 

Hold Fast, keep strong, the words offer courage and strength. 

With this eclectic mix of charms and set pieces, in sumptuous materials 

and textures, this seasons story is a hoard of riches, 

a true treasure trove waiting to be discovered. 

 

 On Thursday 6th June we are having a
bubbly launch party to celebrate this very exciting new collection,
and we would be soooo pleased if you would come and join us
in our festivities!

Carey Mulligan ~ In Full Bloom

In the latest June 2013 Issue of Harper's Bazaar
we see the Actress of the Moment, Carey Mulligan.

Dressed in pastel pinks and looking oh so ethereal and fresh!

Carey looks calm and serene throughout the shoot,

such a pretty little lass!

RUBY'S ROOM

This month sees the launch of the stunning

collaboration between the acclaimed German photographer,

Bettina von Zwehl and our very own Laura Lee.

Taking inspiration from the original Eye Miniatures

which were so popular in the early nineteenth- century,

Bettina took delicate and detailed photographs of her family's eyes

 to use as the subject of her most recent work.

 

 Both Bettina's husband and daughter, Ruby have been immortalised

within these beautiful 18ct Gold and White Diamond works of art.

Both the ring and the necklace have been set with a clear Quartz face, which allows a crisp and perfect window into an intimate and emotional piece of work.

This collaboration has seen a perfect realisation of

 two extremely talented women,

the pair have not only made something sentimental

 and elegant in concept, they have created a 

beautiful and powerful collection of art.

The exhibition will be showing at the Holbourne Museum of Bath, 

from the 22nd May until the 1st September 2013.

Anna and Olivier

The 2013 Olivier Awards

saw our favourite actors giving and receiving the
prestigious statue last night, marking the recognition of
excellence in professional theatre by the Society of London Theatre.

Anna Chancellor is a great friend of LLJ's,

and so we were extremely pleased that the Lady of the Hour

chose to wear one of our Filigree Gold Necklaces

to present the award for Best Costume.

... And who can we spot here looking so much in awe 

but our favourite Downton Boy,

Allen Leech, who plays Tom Branson!

(ahh.... sigh)
